A glee written by Suett for use at the Ad Libitum Society, of which he was a member.

The Ad Libitum Society was a dining club (like the Beefsteak Club, with which it had members and premises in common), which maintained its own kitchen, wine cellar and cook, and where professional musicians and gentleman amateurs could meet and socialise together. Suett himself was a comedian and professional singer.
Lyrics: Richard Suett

'Tis good humour and wine makes us happy and gay,
Expand ev'ry heart and drive sorrow away.
Inspire us alike to be blest and to bless;
Crown our loves with enjoyment, our arms with success.

Would you know where on earth those blessings abound?
They're in ESTO PERPETUO AD LIBITUM found.
There harmony triumphs; wit sparkling and free
Gives a zest to each bumper, each song, catch and glee.

Then on wine and good humour all praise let's bestow,
As the sources of all the enjoyment we know.
Wine makes the fair kind as we bumper each toast;
While good humour secures us the blessings they boast.
