Angelus ad pastores ait:
Annuncio vobis gaudium magnum:
quia natus est vobis hodie Salvator mundi.
Facta est cum angelo multitudo caelestis exercitus,
laudantium benedicunt Dominum et dicentium:
Gloria in excelsis Deo, et in terra pax,
hominibus bonae voluntatis. Alleluia.

And the angel said to the shepherds:
I bring you good tidings of great joy:
for unto you is born today the saviour of the world.
There was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host,
praising God and saying:
Glory be to God on high, and in earth peace,
goodwill to all men. Alleluia.
