Le clerc d'un avocat trouva
Un jour ma dame sur un lit.
Lequel tout soudain s'&ecaute;prouva
Lui donner en dormant deduit.
La dame s'esueille au conflict
Qui s'écria "Je le dirai".
"Ha donc", dit il, "je m'en irai
Sans parachever le surplus".
"Va, va", dit elle "non serait;
Achève mais n'y plus revien".

So this lawyer's clerk finds
My wife on her bed one day
And gets this sudden urge
To give her one when asleep.
The missus, wearying of the tussle,
Exclaims, "I'll tell him".
"O.K." says he, "I'll be off
Without realising the residual interest".
"Sod off" says she " that's not on.
Effect completion, but never come again".
