A motet for Christmas Day from Sacræ Cantiones, Nuremberg, 1585, a collection of motets edited by Frederic Lindner.
Lyrics: John 1:14,1

Verbum caro factum est,
et habitavit in nobis:
cuius gloriam vidimus,
gloriam quasi unigeniti a Patre,
plenum gratiæ et veritate.

In principio erat verbum,
et verbum erat apud Deum,
et Deus erat verbum:
cuius gloriam vidimus,
quasi unigeniti a Patre,
plenum gratia et veritate.

And the Word was made flesh,
and dwelt among us,
and we beheld his glory,
as of the only begotten of the Father,
full of grace and truth.

In the beginning was the word,
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God:
and we beheld his glory,
as of the only begotten of the Father,
full of grace and truth.
