Lyrics: Anon

So at cockcrow (cockadoodle),
This ploughman sets about his work
With plough and coulter,
Up front, to pull the plough.
Dobbin behind whinnies, and the nag kicks out.
"Head up", he cajoles,
"Pull very gently, 'cos the going is heavy".
After this task, he scatters the seed.
"Do it some more" says this young hussy
"Huh", says he, "I've only just started".
