Gervaise's setting from his Troisieme livre de danceries, Paris 1556, of Janequin's widely popular chanson, La Guerre, or La Bataille [de Marignan].

The set is intended for dancing, and should be reinforced by percussion, observing the rhythms suggested by e.g. Thoinot Arbeau.

This edition includes a choice of third (tenor) part in both alto and treble clefs.
