Pub. Venice, 1596. A parody mass based upon Janequin's popular chanson. "La Bataille" [de Marignan]. A sumptuous setting, which should be reinforced by instruments, in the Venetian manner.
Croce subscribed Agnus Dei I with the instruction "Agnus Dei ut supra". Agnus Dei II has been provided editorially, with appropriate underlay, in accordance with this direction.
