A motet for St Cecilia's Day published in Motetti del Laberinto, libro terzo, Venice, 1554.
Lyrics: Latin Antiphon

Ceciliam intra cubiculum orante invenit
et iuxta eam stantem angelum Domini:
quem videns Valerianus nimio terrore correptus est.
Cecilia virgo Almachium exuperabat.
Tibertium et Valerianum ad coronam vocabat,
expansis manibus orabat ad Dominum
ut eam eriperet de inimicis.

He discovered Cecilia praying in her chamber
with an angel of the Lord standing by her side:
seeing whom, Valerianus was seized with great fear.
Cecilia, the virgin, defeated Almachius.
On Tibertius and Valerianus she bestowed laurels,
with her hands flung wide, she petitioned the Lord
that he might deliver her from her foes.
