McGibbon's arrangement of the song tune, for violin, oboe (hoboy), or German (transverse) flute appeared in his Collection of Scots Tunes, Edinburgh, 1762.

The figured bass is identical to that published by James Oswald twenty years earlier. The tune is the same in all but minor details (McGibbon eschewed Oswald's appoggiature); the variation is not the same as that by Oswald.
