A pris du mien possession expresse,

Autant qu'en peut permettre honêteté
Si sa beauté a loyauté

She who gave me the title companion
Has for her part assumed the title of mistress;
She who has surrendered her heart to me
Has taken direct possession of mine,
By giving her delicate youth up to me,
As much as decency will allow;
If her beauty proves loyal,
I consider my heart and its concerns happy.
