From John Baldwin's Commonplace Book.
Lyrics: Psalm 27: 1,2
Dominus illuminatio mea et salus mea: quem timebo?
Dominus protector vitæ meæ: a quo trepidabo?
Dum appropiant super me nocentes ut edant carnes meas, qui tribulant me inimici mei, ipsi infirmati sunt et ceciderunt.
The Lord is my light and my salvation: whom then shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life: of whom then shall I be afraid?
When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
