Lyrics: Anon
Vidi speciosam sicut columbam ascendentem
desuper rivos aquarum: cuius inæstimabilis odor
erat nimis in vestimentis eius.
Et sicut dies verni, flores rosarum
circumdabant eam, et lilia convallium.
I saw that fair one, like a dove, ascending above
streams of water, their incomparable fragrance
suffusing her garments.
And blooms of roses and lily of the valley
surrounded her, as if on a day in Spring.
Vidi speciosam sicut columbam ascendentem
desuper rivos aquarum: cuius inæstimabilis odor
erat nimis in vestimentis eius.
Et sicut dies verni, flores rosarum
circumdabant eam, et lilia convallium.
I saw that fair one, like a dove, ascending above
streams of water, their incomparable fragrance
suffusing her garments.
And blooms of roses and lily of the valley
surrounded her, as if on a day in Spring.
