Lyrics: Song of Solomon 3: 1-4

In lectulo meo, per noctes, quæsivi quem diligit anima mea: quæsivi illum, et non inveni.
Surgam, et circuibo civitatem, per vicos et plateas quæram quem diligit anima mea: quæsivi illum, et non inveni.
Invenerunt me vigiles qui custodiunt civitatem: num quem diligit anima mea vidistis?
Paululum cum pertransissem eos, inveni quem diligit anima mea.

In my bed by night I sought him that my soul loved: I sought him, but I found him not.
I will rise therefore now, and go about in the city, by the streets and by the open places, and will seek him that my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him not.
The watchmen that went about the city found me: to whom I said, Have you seen him, whom my soul loveth?
When I had passed a little from them, then I found him whom my soul loved.
