This same unattributed set of variations is appended to this tune in various sources (in this instance, Longman & Broderip's New Instructions for the German Flute). It is probably not by Oswald himself, who had published his own set of variations in his Collection of Curious Scots tunes, 1742. It is offered at original pitch or transposed to F with the treble recorder in mind.
