From a "second collection of glees composed by members of the Harmonic Society of Cambridge", 1799, in which this piece is attributed to "W. Wright, Esq. of St John's Coll. Cambridge". It would therefore appear that he was not a professional musician.
Lyrics: "The words by a lady"

Honied seat of soft affection!
Magic union, virgin kiss;
Tenderest tie of young connection,
Surest pledge of future bliss!

Speaking silence, dumb confession,
That each secret wish imparts;
Yielding softness, sweet concession,
Balm that heals our wounded hearts!

Sorrowing joy, adieu's last action;
Oh! what language can express
The thrilling pain, the soft affection
Of a tender parting kiss?
