Overture - 2. Prelude - 3. Minuet - 4. Saraband - 5. Boree - 6. Aire [Boree] - 7. Minuet - 8. Aire [Matelot] - 9. Jigg

Incidental theatre set. Published for strings, but also suitable for wind bands. A set used for the revival of Ben Jonson's play The Alchemist. The work of an unknown arranger, the piece comprises a re-drafting of the Overture to Handel's Rodrigo, with the addition of the prelude (of unidentified origin). It was initially published and credited to "an Italian master (unnamed)". The viola part, omitted in the arrangement, has beeen imported from Handel's own work.
