Edition prepared from Hortus musicalis . . . authore R.P. Michaele Herrerrio (book 3), Munich, 1609
Lyrics: Anon

Quam dulcia palato sunt tua verba meo,
quae diffluunt ex ore tuo divino?
Rex maxime cælorum infusor veritatis
omnem pravitatis nævum extirpans
sic te cælo tonantem clara voce citamus
et poplite adunco prosternimur tibi humiliati.
Cui perpetuus honor debetur.

How sweet to me is the taste of your words,
which flow from your divine mouth?
Highest king of heaven, spreader of truth, rooting out sin from birth;
so we call on you that thunders from the heavens in a clear voice,
and humbled we prostrate ourselves on bended knee to thee,
To whom honour everlasting is due.
