Angelus Domini ad pastores ait:
Annuncio vobis gaudium magnum quia natus est vobis Salvator Israel,
propterea laetamini omnes clamantes et dicentes: Noe.
Parvulus filius natus est nobis hodie vocabitur Deus fortis,
propterea laetamini omnes clamantes et dicentes: Noe.

The angel of the Lord said to the shepherds:
I bring you tidings of great joy, for the Saviour of Israel is born,
therefore let all be glad, crying out and saying: Noel.
A tiny son is born to us today and he shall be called Mighty God,
therefore let all be glad, crying out and saying: Noel.
