Lyrics: Matthew 2:18
Herodes rex iratus pro nato Domino
occidit multos pueros in Bethlehem Juda civitate David.
Vox in Rama audita est, ploratus et ululatus.
Rachel plorans filios suos, et noluit consolari quia non sunt.
King Herod in his anger at the birth of the Lord
killed many boys of Bethlehem in Judea, the city of David.
In Ramah was a voice heard, mourning, and weeping, and great howling.
Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they were no more.
