Lyrics: Psalm 116, vv. 1-8
I have loved: for the Lord will hear the voice of my prayer.
For he hath inclined his ear unto me, and in all my days I will call upon him.
The sorrows of death hath compassed me round about, and the perils of hell hath entangled me.
I have found much trouble and sorrow, and I have called upon the name of the Lord:
O Lord, deliver my soul.
O merciful Lord and wise: our God is merciful.
The Lord preserveth the simple: I was brought low and he delivered me.
Turn into thy rest, O my soul: for the Lord hath done much for us.
For he hath delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, my feet from sliding.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning,
and is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
