Quand le joli Robinet eut tripoté la bergière,
Il voulut son flageolet bouter en sa panière;
Et lui dit en tel manière:
"Je vous prie, reposons-nous",
À dont répond la bergière:
"Robin, comment l'entendez-vous?"

So when handsome Robbie has touched up the shepherdess,
He wants to lodge his whistle in her basket,
And he speaks thus:
"Let's lie down, please";
So the shepherdess asks:
"Robin, what do you mean?"
