Lyrics: Jean Paradin

Dame Margot à son ami Brandouille
Entre deux plats fit un boudin porter;
Et son ami pour aux plats reporter
À sa Margot un tel billet fratrouille:
"Le petit cœur de ventre m'y fretrouille
Pour le boudin lequel tu m'as transmis;
Et pour cela, de bon cœur t'ai promis
Pour le boudin te prêter mon andouille,
Mon andouille".

Dame Margot has a black pudding taken
'Twixt two platters to her friend Brandouille;
And her friend, in sending the platters back
Sends Margot a friendly note:
"The heart of my stomach frets about
The black pudding that you sent me
And so, out of the goodness of my heart,
I've promised, in return for the black pudding,
to prepare you my chitterlings,
(homonym) knobhead!"
