La fille d'un jardinier
Etait aimant par amourette;
Son ami lui donna un baiser,
Prétendant faire la chosette.
Le jeu d'amour fort bien lui haitte;
Lui a dit: "Mon ami cher,
Arrosez vos violettes;

Water your violets;
water your gillyflowers.
So this gardener's daughter
is well up for a fling;
her b.f. is giving her a kiss,
hoping he'll then be giving her one.
She's well happy to bonk,
and she's like: "My dear mate,
